Hamlyn vive y trabaja en Londres. Trabajando a través de una polinización de procesos de fabricación digital y hechos a mano, las obras de Ant Hamlyn profundizan en nuestra relación y el entusiasmo fluctuante hacia la vida contemporánea. Sus esculturas tienen regularmente elementos antropomórficos y trabajan con metáforas, tecnología y la interacción entre lo duro y lo blando. crear momentos de tacto y sorpresa a través de la oscuridad material y visual. A menudo creando reliquias a partir de un espacio reconocible pero paralelo.

El marco conceptual de Hamlyn está tomado recientemente de las plantas, la nostalgia, la preservación y la magia. Con la excepción de una serie de instalaciones cinéticas más grandes, la mayoría de las obras de Hamlyn están meticulosamente cosidas a mano. Esta delicada interacción entre materialidad, escala y contexto es intrínseca a la creación simultánea de misterio, familiaridad y engaño.

Sus obras se encuentran en colecciones privadas internacionales. Su estudio se encuentra actualmente en el suroeste de Londres. Hamlyn estudió Licenciatura en Bellas Artes en Liverpool Hope University (2012-15) y Maestría en Bellas Artes en el Chelsea College of Art (2016-17) después de recibir la Beca de Escultura Cecil Lewis.
